At Oral Surgery Group, we like to use your first visit as a chance to get to know your condition and your goals. Usually, your first appointment will consist of a full oral exam and consultation. Sometimes your procedure will be performed during this first visit, but in most cases, your treatment (if necessary) will be planned for a later date. This appointment is a great opportunity for you to ask questions and discuss your treatment options with your surgeon.
When you come in for your first visit, please bring the following information:
- A referral slip and any X-rays given by your general dentist (these may be sent to our office ahead of time)
- A list of any medications you are currently taking
- Any dental and medical insurance cards/information
- Knowledge or information about any current medical conditions or history of conditions
For patients under 18 — minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all appointments
We recommend that you fill out our new patient forms online before you come to your appointment. Our convenient online forms help streamline the new patient process. If you have any additional questions about your first appointment, please call the office where your appointment is scheduled. One of our staff members will be happy to help you.
