Impacted Tooth Exposure Reviews
Impacted teeth are teeth that become stuck in the gums, whether it's because there is something blocking their path or they simply stop following their growth track. Your canine teeth and wisdom teeth are the most common teeth to become impacted; wisdom teeth can simply be removed, but your canines are important to the development of your bite and must be treated differently. The most common treatment for impacted canines is exposure and bonding.
Your oral surgeon and orthodontist will work together to perform your exposure and bonding treatment, carefully exposing your impacted canine from the gums and then gradually pulling the tooth down using a bracket and chain. The procedure is most common in children as their teeth are still developing, but sometimes impacted canines can occur in adults. In situations where we cannot treat the canines, we offer tooth replacement options if we must extract the tooth. We encourage you to watch the testimonial videos below to hear more about the impacted tooth exposure experience at our offices.
